Colorful fruit cups crafted with marshmallows and candy decorations for a festive, kid-friendly treat.

# Components:

→ Fruit

01 - 1 cup strawberries, hulled and diced
02 - 1 cup green grapes, halved
03 - 1 cup blueberries
04 - 1 cup pineapple, diced
05 - 1 banana, sliced (optional)
06 - 1 kiwi, peeled and diced (optional)

→ Decorations

07 - 6 large marshmallows for bunny cheeks
08 - 12 mini marshmallows for bunny noses
09 - 12 small candy eyes
10 - 12 pink jellybeans or pink chocolate candies for noses
11 - 12 white paper cupcake liners for bunny ears
12 - Black edible marker for whiskers and mouth

# Method:

01 - Wash and prepare all fruits according to specifications. Combine all prepared fruits in a large mixing bowl.
02 - Evenly divide the mixed fruit mixture among 6 small clear plastic cups, filling each cup approximately three-quarters full.
03 - Create facial features by placing two large marshmallows on the front of each cup for cheeks. Position a mini marshmallow or pink candy between the cheeks to form the nose. Attach candy eyes above the cheeks using honey or icing as adhesive. Use the edible marker to draw whiskers and a small mouth on the marshmallows.
04 - Fold each paper cupcake liner in half and cut into ear shapes. Secure two ears to the back inside rim of each cup using tape or glue so they protrude upward.
05 - Serve bunny fruit cups immediately, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Kids will actually eat their fruit without being asked once they've decorated their own bunny faces.
  • Zero cooking required means you can pull this together while waiting for the oven to preheat for something else.
  • It's genuinely impressive looking even though you're basically just stacking fruit and marshmallows—feels like you tried harder than you did.
02 -
  • If your marshmallows keep sliding down the cup, it's because you're overfilling it with fruit—pulling back just a half inch makes the difference between wobbly faces and stable ones.
  • Don't use hot glue for the ears no matter what; food-safe tape is your friend here, and it peels off clean so you can reuse the cups for other things.
  • Honey works better than regular frosting for adhering the eyes because it's thinner and won't show white streaks on the marshmallows.
03 -
  • Dry your cut fruit on paper towels before filling the cups—any excess moisture makes the marshmallows slide around and the ears droop.
  • If candy eyes feel too precious to use, draw them with the edible marker instead—it takes two seconds and looks surprisingly intentional.
